Are you new to hiking or looking to brush up on the basics before hitting the trails?
Join us for a fun, informative and hands on 2-hour Intro to Hiking Workshop, where we’ll cover everything you need to know to start your hiking journey with confidence!

- Trip Planning and Preparation – How to select and plan your route: weather, river, environmental considerations
- Kit & Equipment – From fitting a pack to choosing a shoe, we chat gear that makes a difference
- Packing 101 – What gear to take and how to pack it efficiently for single and multi day trips
- Food & Nutrition – How to fuel your hike and stay energized on the go
- Safety - How to stay safe on the trail and what to do if things go wrong
- Our Fave Hacks - Hiking, camping and hut tips etiquette
Perfect for beginners or those looking to refresh their hiking know-how, this workshop will help you feel more prepared, confident, and excited to explore the outdoors.
Hiking with Em and Jo
Em has worked as a hiking guide, outdoor education instructor and mountain bike guide over the past 5 years. Jo has run her own outdoor business teaching and guiding on the water and is an avid hiker! We both love introducing people to the outdoors and helping you to thrive in the outdoors.
