Description

Tweed Shire Council is delighted to offer you this free booking system to ensure that a dedicated duty officer can assist you with your enquiries in a timely and efficient manner.

If you are unable to visit Council's offices in-person, you can also select click the 'virtual' option when making your appointment. For 'virtual' bookings you will receive a link by email to connect with our duty officer from the comfort of your home or workplace.

Appointments are for a maximum of 30 minutes. You can ask questions about your enquiry or seek help lodging applications with Council.

Please note the following:

  • only one 30-minute booking can be made per appointment
  • bookings for the following day can be made up to 3 pm – after this time you will need to select a future date
  • all appointments are on NSW time (one hour ahead of QLD during daylight savings).

Bookings are available Monday to Friday, between 9 am – 12 pm, with available dates and times shown after you select 'Get Tickets'. If these dates/times are not suitable, please call us on 02 6670 2400 between 9 am – 4 pm.

Building enquiries

  • Dwelling houses and associated pools, sheds, fences, etc.
  • Plumbing and drainage.
  • Fire safety devices.
  • Rural farm structures.

Environmental Health enquiries

  • Burning off vegetation.
  • Food (retail, home base, food hygiene) – please ensure you have received advice from Council's Planning Team about DA requirements before contacting an Environmental Health Officer.
  • Skin penetration (tattoo, waxing, ear piercing) – please ensure you have received advice from Council's Planning Team about DA requirements before contacting an Environmental Health Officer.
  • Footpath dining.
  • Contamination/pollution (air, water, soil, chemicals, noise)
  • Illegal dumping.
  • Caravan parks.
  • Asbestos management.
  • Pest and vermin.
  • Cooling towers.
  • Onsite sewage management systems (OSSM).
