Being a Highly Sensitive Therapist/Practitioner (Professional Development)
Description
High sensitivity is a unique personality trait characterised by heightened emotional responses and deep processing of sensory information. The ‘She’ll be right mate’ attitude that is deeply imbedded in Australian culture often leaves highly sensitive Aussies feeling out of place when overwhelmed by normal life. At High Sensitivity Australia, we recognise the importance of fostering a supportive environment for those who experience the world more intensely. Our mission is to provide resources and guidance to help highly sensitive individuals thrive in all aspects of life, from personal growth to professional success.
Many therapists exhibit the high sensitivity trait. It was what drew them to the people helping field and what makes them good at what they do.
But it also presents some challenges.
The aim of this workshop is to equip highly sensitive therapist with the tools they need to work to the strength of being a highly sensitive person and better manage the challenges.
Join Erica Webb and Matt Glover, both highly sensitive therapists, for two hours of story telling and learning in this unique professional development workshop.
Note: As this workshop is designed for highly sensitive people, there will be no requirement to have you camera on, introduce yourself, or participate in any group discussion or break out rooms. It is interactive learning through observation and storytelling.
