Event description

Join our Being Digital group class on Tuesday afternoons to learn more about computers, technology and the Internet!

We are an official partner of the Be Connected program, with many different sessions each month ranging from identifying online scams, understanding your device, internet safety and much more.

Lessons will be general in nature in order to benefit the whole class. Please checkout out our other classes or come to our Digital Drop-ins for personalised assistance. 


Held weekly on Tuesdays, 1pm - 2pm. During school term only.
These lessons are free, with bookings required for each lesson. Please check the itinerary below and register for the topics you are interested in.


Term 4 2025 Itinerary:

  • 14 October - Build your digital skills program: Learn more about our Build Your Digital Skills program and how you can get involved!

  • 21 October -  Tips to protect your privacy online: Learn some general tips to create safe passwords and manage your account and device permissions.

  • 28 October - Edit and store your digital photos: Learn some basic photo editing techniques and some tips on managing your digital photos.

  • 4 November - Introduction to online banking: Learn how to get set up with online banking and what you can do with it.

  • 11 November - Introduction to online shopping: Get familiar with the basics of making online purchases and using money on the Internet.

  • 18 November - Getting started with myGov: Learn how to link services such as Medicare and tax to your myGov account and how you can view your account details.

  • 25 November -Downloading and saving files: Learn more about identifying file types, how to download your files, and how to save them on your computer. 

  • 2 December - Manage your files on a desktop: Expanding on the previous week's session, we will go a bit deeper into creating folders and how to search for files on your computer.

  • 9 December - Manage your files on the Cloud: We will have a brief introduction to what the Cloud is, and then we'll explore how you can use it to manage files and create documents. 

  • 16 December - End of year wrap-up: We'll recap some of the key points we've learned this term.
