Being Digital Weekly Classes Term 4

Join our Being Digital group class on Tuesday afternoons to learn more about computers, technology and the Internet!

We are an official partner of the Be Connected program, with many different sessions each month ranging from identifying online scams, understanding your device, internet safety and much more.

Lessons will be general in nature in order to benefit the whole class. Please checkout out our other classes or come to our Digital Drop-ins for personalised assistance. 

Held weekly on Tuesdays, 1pm - 2pm. During school term only.
These lessons are free, with bookings required for each lesson. Please check the itinerary below and register for the topics you are interested in.

Term 4 2026 Itinerary:

• 13 October - Introduction to Canva: Use Canva to make some simple posters, graphics, and images.

• 20 October - Learn about common scams: Learn about some of the most common scams and how you can identify and avoid them.

• 27 October - Introduction to anti-virus software: Find out more about using anti-virus software to protect your devices while using Internet services.

• 3 November - Introduction to online banking: Learn how to get set up with online banking and what you can do with it.

• 10 November - Online subscriptions and streaming services - Learn more about online subscriptions and streaming services (such as Netflix and Spotify) and how to navigate free trials.

• 17 November - Connecting with others online: We'll discuss different ways to connect with others online, such as email, text, video calling, forums, etc.

• 24 November - Introduction to Microsoft Word: Try some basic text editing and changing some settings in your Word document.

• 1 December - Online newspapers, digital audiobooks, and eBooks: Find out how the library can help you access free reading material and other ways to read online.

• 8 December- Brain games online: For the last session of the year, let's try some fun brain games online.
