Being Gen Vape - Implications for Intervention Design Webinar
Event description
Are you planning a campaign or intervention to address teen vaping? Or simply interested in what motivates teens to vape?
Since its publication in late August, The Behaviour Change Collaborative's (The BCC's) Being Gen Vape – Exploratory Research Report has generated a high level of interest in Australia and beyond.
The report was directly informed by teenagers (12 – 18 years) and explores knowledge, perceptions, attitudes and influences on vaping. The research was designed to generate actionable insights for use by organisations and individuals seeking to address teen vaping in schools, social and community settings.
Following an overview of key findings and explanation of our behavioural segmentation, we will unpack what the research means for intervention design and campaign planning.
This webinar will be presented by the report's lead author and The BCC's Director Behavioural Insight, Donna van Bueren, and facilitated by co-author and The BCC's Co-Founder and Managing Director, Luke van der Beeke. Both have decades of experience designing and implementing public health behaviour change programs and campaigns in Australia and internationally.
The presentation will run for one hour and will cover:
- An overview of the key findings
- Teen knowledge and perceptions of vaping
- A behavioural picture of vaping by different teen segments
- Key take-outs for intervention design and campaign planning
It will be followed by an opportunity for Q&A with Donna and Luke.
