Being the Other: Inclusion Unmasked
Event description
We invite you to join us at our Being the Other: Inclusion Unmasked forum on Friday 8th November in Surf Coast.
“Inclusion” is a term that is overused and not quite understood, we know that many people are still left out.
We will hear from Aunty Wendy Brabham, a prominent elder who will open the forum and yarn with us together with other representatives from the First Nations community from the Geelong region.
The other speakers represent various perspectives from literature to racial literacy, systems thinking and disability: Dr. Grace Chan, Dr. Nilmini Fernando, Andrew Fitisemanu, Dr. Téa O’Driscoll and Hannah Mattingley (operations manager – All Aboard) who will all share their respective insights into what inclusion is in reality and how it should be instead.
Join this critical conversation, it is not a one way conversation, we rely on your participation to drive the conversation.
