Bellhaus Open House Tour - Passive House
Description
An open house day at our East Keilor Passive House, caught at the perfect moment for people to actually see how the building performs.
Matt Carland from Carland Constructions and Talina Edwards from Envirotecture will be presenting/hosting the tour and talking through the project.
The house is fully wrapped, the windows are in (Logikhaus), and we have hit our airtightness target. This is the pre plaster stage, which is the one time you can see everything that normally gets hidden behind the walls, the wrap, the tapes, the window installs and the detailing that makes a Passive House actually work.
Every dollar from ticket sales goes to TIACS (This Is A Conversation Starter), a free mental health and counselling service for tradies and blue collar workers.
Tour 1, 1:00pm to 2:00pm, for industry Aimed at builders, architects and others in the trade. The technical one. Get into the detail of the wrap, the tapes, the window installs, the airtightness result and how it was achieved, the Logikhaus windows, and the Fantech mechanical ventilation design. This is the crowd who want the nuts and bolts, so give it to them.
Tour 2, 4:00pm to 5:00pm, for people wanting to build (or anyone else) Open to anyone, aimed at people who are thinking about building or are just curious about better building. Less jargon, more about the why. What this stage means for the home they will live in, the comfort, the health, the air quality, and why we build the way we do. Keep it engaging and leave them wanting to learn more.
This event takes place on an active construction site at pre plaster stage. By purchasing a ticket and attending, you acknowledge and agree that you enter the site entirely at your own risk. Carland Constructions, its staff, contractors and partners accept no liability for any injury, loss or damage suffered while attending, to the extent permitted by law.
