The sun is out, the weather is warming up, and the weeds are going wild!

Join North Coast Local Land Services for a morning of learning and getting your hands dirty, where we’ll identify local weeds, apply the best weed control techniques, and help restore riparian vegetation and protect local ecosystems.

Event details:

This workshop is designed for landholders involved in the North Coast LLS Bellinger River Snapping Turtle project or living in the Darkwood area.

What to expect:

Learn to identify common local weed species and understand their lifecycles and spreading mechanisms.
Discover best practice weed control strategies, techniques, and equipment.
Practice weed removal methods with guidance from an experienced bush regenerator.
Hear from Saving Our Species, Yurruungga Aboriginal Corporation, and Bellinger Landcare.
Learn how weed control supports threatened ecological communities like Lowland Rainforest.
