Belonging and Inclusion in Community Clubs

Welcoming Clubs invites leaders, members and volunteers at community and sport clubs in Cairns to participate in our 90-minute interactive workshop

Participants will be empowered with a deeper understanding of their personal experiences so they can positively impact how others experience inclusion and belonging in community and sport clubs.

Active Inclusion Workshop, delivered by Welcoming Clubs

Venue: Cairns Regional Council, 119-145 Spence Street

Date: Monday, September 15, 6-7.30pm

Our activities will explore ideas of welcome, privilege, bias and exclusion, and provide participants with evidence-based strategies and resources that enhance access and participation while reducing the impact of barriers to meaningful involvement.

Our workshop will cover:

·      Inclusive practices that engage diverse and multicultural communities

·      Inclusive coaching techniques that empower coaches and leaders

·      Upstander training used to prevent and address discrimination and racism

Certificates of Participation will be issued
