Belonging starts with you
Event description
To celebrate Mental Health Month, I am giving this mini-workshop on true belonging.
Belonging starts with you is an interactive workshop designed to transform your perception of belonging in the workplace and empower you to take actionable steps towards creating a more inclusive environment for yourself and others.
In today's rapidly changing work landscape, a sense of belonging can sometimes feel like a moving target. Yet, it remains a cornerstone of a productive, healthy, and happy work life. This workshop will introduce you to the foundational elements of belonging—four key pillars that are integral to feeling connected and supported within any organizational culture.
Throughout our session, you will:
- Know: We will delve into the four pillars of belonging at work, unpacking each one to help you gain a thorough understanding of what belonging truly means and how it manifests in a workplace setting.
- Feel: It's natural to occasionally feel out of place or uncertain about where we fit in. This part of the workshop is designed to equip you with the confidence that not only is it possible to cultivate a stronger sense of belonging, but it is also within your power to ignite change.
- Do: Knowledge and emotions are the precursors to action. We will translate the four pillars into a personal self-check toolkit. This will enable you to regularly assess and foster belonging for yourself and act as a catalyst to encourage it in others.
Belonging is not a passive state—it's an active practice that starts with individual awareness and extends outward through our actions and interactions. By the end of our time together, you'll leave not just with a deeper insight into the concept of belonging, but also with a personal roadmap to build and enhance this crucial aspect which is paramount in your personal and professional life.
Let’s embark on this journey to create a workspace where everyone feels valued, understood, and integral to the collective success.
