Beltane at Jagera

We invite you to celebrate Beltane with us at Jagera, Friday October 31st at 6pm.
Beltane is an ancient seasonal ritual, celebrated at the astronomical midpoint between the spring equinox and summer solstice on October 31st in the Southern Hemisphere.
It's the peak of spring, of fertility, of Earth Energy, of creativity, of renewal and the masculine and feminine energies coming together. A time to give thanks for abundance, creative and fertile spirits, honour the beauty all around us and what might be growing inside wanting creative expression.
Our ancestors instinctively knew that at the core of our being and of the Earth's, is where the sacred resides. Ritual is a way of honouring our ancestors and the sacredness of all life. It's a homecoming.
We are imagining...
an inclusive culture celebration, gathered up on the Jagera village common overlooking Birrinbah as the sun is setting…
musical instruments, a fire perhaps if the deities allow, songs of the river being sung, sharing of stories and simple food.

We can hear the land, Jagera, being prepared for this evening of ritual celebration; Paul is slashing, Pete is digging and mowing. Bee and Eshana will join them soon to weed and mulch ...
To be honest, we Jageraites are pushing our energy envelope ... and are calling in the energy of spring as we invite us all to create the culture we want to live in ... one that celebrates a local, sustainable and handmade way of life.
It will be a simple, organic event. Co-created ....

Here are the details...
When: Friday 31st October 6-9pm
Where: Jagera Eco community. Park on Roderick St and walk to 1A Hoschkes Lane and proceed up the hill. Special ability parking within the gate and transfer can be arranged to top spot.
What to bring: Everything: a blanket, picnic basket, drinks, musical instruments, stories, mozzie repellant a definite and perhaps a shawl if it’s cool.
