Beltane Community Ceilidh
Description
Following on from the packed house and big smiles at our Winter Solstice Community Ceilidh, we're doing it again!
Celebrate Beltane — the turning of the season into summer — with music, dancing and community at our family-friendly Beltane Ceilidh at Raglan Town Hall.
With live music from West of the Divvy and dances guided by caller Fiona Murdoch from Dance Folkus, this will be a joyful morning of easy-to-learn community dancing for all ages. No experience needed — just bring your dancing feet and willingness to join in.
Expect lively folk tunes, shared laughter, twirling kids, stomping feet and a delicious shared soup lunch as we gather together to celebrate the warmth and abundance of spring and welcome the coming summer.
The start of the event will be especially great for younger kids, so come early if you're bringing the whole whānau.
What to bring...
- Clothes that you're comfortable to move in. Layers are good as it can get hot and sweaty!
- Soft shoes / trainers (or dance barefoot)
- Water bottle
- Bowl and spoon for soup (we'll have some there if you forget!)
Please share with your friends — let's pack the town hall and celebrate spring together!
