Benalla SDA BBQ & Open House | Meet the Housemates and Yooralla Team

Event description

Yooralla is hosting a relaxed Saturday BBQ and open house at our Benalla SDA homes, and we would love local families, supporters and community members to come along.

This is a chance to enjoy a casual lunch, meet the current housemates and Yooralla staff, and get a feel for the homes in a friendly, low-pressure way.

These two modern, Fully Accessible SDA homes are located on the same quiet residential site in Benalla. Each home has three large bedrooms with private ensuites, two living areas, accessible indoor and outdoor spaces, and experienced Yooralla support.

There are currently two private ensuite bedrooms available across the site - one in each home.

The best way to know whether a home might feel right is to visit, meet the people, and see the everyday atmosphere for yourself.

Families, supporters, guardians, support coordinators and local referrers are all welcome.

About the homes

The site includes two separate, modern, single-level Fully Accessible SDA homes.

Each home includes:

• Three large bedrooms, each with a private ensuite

• Two separate living areas

• Purpose-built kitchen and open-plan dining/living space

• Undercover courtyard and outdoor areas

• Heating and cooling throughout

• Ramp access and wheelchair-accessible shared spaces

• Experienced Yooralla support, including sleepover support

One home is currently shared by two women. The other home is currently shared by two men. Both homes are open to applicants of any gender, with household compatibility, resident preferences, support needs and personal goals considered as part of the application process.
