Benefit for Fire Museum Presents with Circuit Cult, M.E. & Coyos
Description
Join us for an evening of music in support of our partner organization, Fire Museum Presents who host events at Studio 34 and other spaces all over Philadelphia.
ABOUT THE ARTISTS:
Circuit Cult (Kyle Press & Paul Walker):
Kyle Press performs improvised, amplified, and affected soundscapes of multiphonics and overtones on vocals and saxophones. They have performed with the groups Love Club, Impressionist, OhBree & others. They're also an active participant in Philly’s vibrant free jazz / improvisation scene, where they has reliably pushed against the more academic trappings of the genre; focusing on creating walls of sound rather than re-contextualizing jazz/classical norms in an improvisational environment.
Paul Walker is an electronic musician and experimentalist based in Philadelphia. He played guitar and sang backup vocals for the synth-punk group SGNLS, and played guitar and synhs in West Philly’s own Lesser Known Neutrinos. His solo project Clock Issue, has released two albums.
M.E.:
Philly based latinx musician. Makes ambient guitar loops & writes songs.
Coyos:
Coyos is an experimental electronic group project sprouted in Philadelphia from the scattered seeds of folk instruments (like kora, jaw harp, and more) and futurist proclivities (like hacked micro-synths). Their music is exploratory, responsive, and mostly improvisational. An offering of sensical non-sense within this nonsensical landscape.
