bentART Youth Studio Paper Sculpture
Description
Make Art. Meet People. Be Yourself.
If you're an LGBTQIA+ young person — or an ally — in the Blue Mountains who enjoys art (or just wants to try something creative), these workshops are for you.
bent ART and Belong Blue Mountains are running a series of relaxed, welcoming art workshops where you can experiment with different creative ideas, learn from local artists and hang out with other young people in a supportive and inclusive space.
This workshop will focus on paper sculpture, where you’ll get hands-on transforming simple materials into unique 3D artworks using folding, cutting, layering and shaping techniques.
You don’t need to be an experienced artist — just bring your curiosity and creativity. Whether you like drawing, painting, making things or trying something new, this is a place where you can explore your ideas and express yourself.
The workshops are also connected to bentART Australia’s largest LGBTQIA+ art exhibition, so if you’re interested you may even be able to develop work to submit to future exhibitions.
Most importantly, it’s a space to create, connect and feel comfortable being yourself.
All materials are provided and workshops are free to attend.
