Berrima Wildlife Reserve Working Bee
Event description
The reserve comprises intact bushland, a degraded riparian area and cleared grassy area once used as a sports / cricket ground. Working bees on the site started in July 2022 and have been continuing since then on every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month.
The site is accessed via a dirt track at the end of Sutton Street. This track leads to another track which traverses the reserve in an east west direction ending on the banks on Wingecarribee River. The southern end of the reserve can be accessed from the Sutton St road verge.
Our Key Objective is Restore and maintain the native vegetation and wildlife corridors at the reserve.
Our Key Activities include controlling weeds, revegetation works, and Fauna and Flora Identification.
No experience necessary, just bring your enthusiasm and willingness to get your hands dirty. Don't forget to wear sturdy shoes and clothes you don't mind getting a bit messy. Let's make a difference together!
