Berry Landcare at David Berry Hospital
Event description
Come along and join Berry Landcare at one of their regular working bees to support the remnant coastal rainforest at David Berry Hospital.
This morning will honour Culture and Country by incuding an Acknowlegement of Country, a short history of the site and the forest with a walk through to understand all the love and labour that has gone into saving it. A short talk on weed control will then be given before we all get to work.
Saving this beautful and precious remaining rainforest has been an act of love in these past decades. It is under continual threat from weed growth and this get together is about tackling privet, a noxious and invasive weed...which simply means it is growing in the wrong place at the wrong time so out it goes.
Keeping this rainforest functional and beautiful benefits a myriad of wild creatures and provides a beautiful resource for those that use the facilities of David Berry Hospital's palliative care and rehabilitation services.
