Let’s dance, eat and party with some of our favourite humans in Muloobinba. Local favs Zeal H. and Benjamin Fraser Mckenzie are joined by unapologetically unpredictable trio Shark & Fox (CAN/AUS).

Shark & Fox | Canada’s Jaron Freeman-Fox bounces around violin-controlled synths and a child’s fretless stratocaster, Australia’s Emily-Rose Sharkova pumps accordion & miniature keyboards through the subs and Rose Callaghan drums a kit fashioned from an Argentinian bombo and Indonesian hand drums. Somewhere in between bent grooves and exquisite vocal incantations, they reshape traditional sounds into something wild, beautiful and unexpected.

Zeal H. | The combination of ZEAL’s intuitive writing style with the exploratory musicianship of her ensemble gives a sonic body to liminal, nuanced emotions, while remaining deeply connected to the concept of place. Lush four-part harmonies move sideways through an ecosystem of percussion, acoustically controlled modular synth, elastic double bass, and undulating saxophone.

Benjamin Fraser McKenzie is simply a wild and outlandish collection of memories and molecules. Singing and existing are his specialties, but he is also quite fond of day-to-day activities, such as having a healthy breakfast and going for a walk. Indulge in lush tones and be serenaded by this flailing frenzy as you embark upon your audio/vision quest —arriving somewhere absolutely reasonable, if not slightly immaculate.
