ICN Victoria is excited to host the third event in our series of renewables sector networking events, the Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Networking Event, taking place on Thursday, 3 April 2025 at Melbourne Business School, Carlton. 

Victoria is experiencing a surge in Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) installations driving demand for local capabilities in design, manufacturing, and maintenance. As the State strives to achieve ambitious renewable energy targets, while enhancing grid stability and resilience, BESS solutions are becoming a cornerstone of this transition. 

With some of the nation’s largest BESS projects located in Victoria, the Victorian Government is striving to maximise local industry participation and job creation through the Local Jobs First Policy. ICN Victoria is proud to implement this policy on behalf of the Victorian Government by actively supporting projects like the Horsham Solar Farm, Wooreen Energy Storage Facility, and the Melbourne Renewable Energy Hub to deliver on these commitments. 

In partnership with the University of Melbourne's Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology and other industry leaders, this event will highlight the latest innovations in BESS technology, research, opportunities for industry collaboration, and an opportunity to meet University of Melbourne's Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology innovators who could support your organisation.
