Best Bites East Liberty
Description
Get a taste of East Liberty! Discover a Pittsburgh neighborhood packed with big flavors, local favorites, and delicious surprises around every corner.
On Saturday, September 19, take a self-guided food and drink tour through East Liberty’s top restaurants, bars, cafés, and sweet spots. This Best Bites tour is your ticket to taste your way through one of Pittsburgh’s most exciting neighborhoods and all its crave-worthy bites and drinks.
How It Works
You will have a 4-hour timeframe to complete this Best Bites tour at your leisure.
You will receive an official ticket lanyard to wear, which has a map that shows the tasting stops on the tour. Please wear your Best Bites ticket lanyard at all times during the tour, since it's required at each stop.
Present your ticket lanyard to staff to receive your tasting of food, drink, or a pairing of both at each stop. Staff will mark off their assigned number to ensure one tasting per person.
After the tour, you'll be able to vote for the People's Choice Awards—vote for Best Bite, Best Drink, Best Sweet Treat, and Best Tasting Experience.
Have fun and enjoy the tour!
All guests must be 21+ to participate. Guests may be asked to present their ID at drink stops.
Additional guests, including children, tagging along without official lanyards are not permitted. Pets are also not permitted.

FAQs
- When will I get my ticket?
For all orders placed after September 14, you can pick up your ticket lanyard(s) from the Best Bites team at our sponsor stop, S&T Bank (5817 Penn Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15206), between 11:45 a.m. and 12 p.m. on Saturday. Then you’ll be all ready to eat, drink, and explore East Liberty!
- How do I navigate the tour?
Please see the map or scan the QR code on the back of your lanyard to use the Google Map.
- Where can I park?
There are several parking lots around the tour area. Street parking is also available on most streets in the neighborhood.
- What if I have dietary restrictions or allergies?
Best Bites tours are designed to have one food, drink or tasting of both at each tour stop, determined by the establishment to show off an iconic or unique item they offer. Some tour stops may offer vegetarian or vegan options, but substitutions cannot be guaranteed for all allergies, dietary restrictions, or dietary preferences. Due to the possibility of contamination, Best Bites tours are not recommended for those with serious food allergies.
- Are these tours accessible?
Best Bites tours are designed to be self-guided walking tours through Pittsburgh neighborhoods. Because of this, it’s possible that not all tour stops or areas are ADA compliant. If you or someone in your group has a disability or concerns about accessibility, please contact us to see what accommodations can be provided for the tour.
- Can I transfer my ticket to another person?
Yes. If you change your mind about attending the event, you may transfer your ticket lanyard to another person. We recommend waiting until you receive your ticket lanyard in the mail to make arrangements with the other person.
- How does the waitlist work when tickets are sold out?
Once tickets have sold out, you can add yourself to the waitlist to be notified if any tickets become available!
You will be contacted in the order that you are on the waitlist. Once notified, you will have 30 minutes to purchase tickets before the next person in line is notified.
Instead of contacting us to ask if tickets are available, we would appreciate it if you add yourself to this list and keep an eye out for that notification!
