    Event description

Tell us about your experiences of early childhood intervention.

This consultation is for families of children with developmental delay and disability who have participated in early childhood intervention.  This includes having worked together with therapists, such as speech therapists or occupational therapists to help promote your child’s development.

We are especially keen to hear from parents of children aged 0 to 12 years old.

    Topics will include:

    • What made early childhood intervention easier or harder for your family?
    • How early childhood intervention built your skills and confidence as a parent?
    • Did early childhood intervention promote inclusion for your child?

This consultation is part of a review of best practice in early childhood intervention being undertaken by a consortium led by the University of Melbourne and funded by the Australian Government Department of Social Services.

The review will produce a new best practice framework, resources and tools to help practitioners, professionals and families ensure all children with developmental concerns, delay or disability have the best possible start in life.

You can read more about the review of best practice in early childhood intervention here - ECI Review | Healthy Trajectories | A Child and Youth Disability Research Hub Healthy Trajectories (healthy-trajectories.com.au)
