Getting the message across - Communicating effectively with young people
Event description
Young people can experience a wide range of legal problems – from harassment and criminal issues to personal injury and consumer problems. However, many young people are unable to recognise their problems as legal and few seek legal assistance.
Community legal education (CLE) plays a vital role in helping young people understand their legal rights, raising awareness of legal services and the justice system, so that they are better placed to resolve their legal problems.
But how do you communicate effectively with young people and deliver legal information so that it is easy for young people to comprehend?
In this webinar, speakers from Youthlaw and Gateway Local Learning and Employment Network will share their experiences engaging with young people about their legal rights and responsibilities.Find out about the approaches they have used, what has worked well and the strategies that have been less effective.
