Better Futures Forum
Event description
AUSTRALIA, THIS IS OUR BEST CHANCE TO DRIVE CLIMATE ACTION...
Join us for this dynamic three day virtual event where you can interact with and be inspired by climate champions across all corners of society and the economy - including Australian business and industry leaders, investors, local and state and territory governments, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, healthcare and social institutions, farmers, developers, unions, workers, artists, academic and cultural institutions, and communities.
Hear about actions they are taking and how we can work together to create better futures for us all.
The Better Futures Forum will engage decision makers to support ambitious action on climate change through interactive plenary sessions, lightning talks, workshops, exhibits and entertainment across a number of virtual stages.
Sessions will be spread across the three day program, so participants can manage their attendance around other work commitments.
Don't miss out on this unique opportunity to join a growing community of climate champions in advocating for a national response that will reach zero emissions by 2050 or sooner.
By working together, we can harness the opportunities from investment in zero emissions industries, including renovating and creating zero emissions buildings, transport, cities and regions; electrifying and innovating manufacturing; regenerative agriculture; carbon neutral food production; land restoration and biodiversity protection; and creating sustainable jobs to build better futures for all Australians. We can also seize the opportunity to become a clean energy superpower, via direct renewable energy exports and in jobs rich industries like green steel, cement, aluminium and hydrogen.
