Event description

3rd Annual Australian Beyond 5G Connectivity Summit

Dates: Thursday 17 – Friday, 18 October 2024
Location: Aerial Centre, University of Technology Sydney (UTS), Sydney, Australia

About the Event

The 3rd Australian Beyond 5G Connectivity Summit, proudly hosted by the NSW Connectivity Innovation Network (CIN), is an essential industry gathering that will bring together telecom leaders, experts, and innovators to explore the future of telecommunications networks. This year’s summit, for the first time, will span two days, with a dedicated Industry Track on the first day and a Research Track on the second.

As 5G deployment accelerates in Australia and globally, the mobile communications industry and research community face crucial questions: How can we maximise the return on 5G investments? What emerging technologies should we embrace for Beyond 5G (B5G) systems? What strategies will best prepare us for the transition to 6G?

Building on the success of previous years, the 2024 summit will continue to address these pressing topics. It will feature keynote presentations, panel discussions, and networking opportunities, with contributions from global leaders in telecom, including Nokia and Ericsson, and insights into cutting-edge innovations such as Open RAN, High-Altitude Platforms (HAPs), AI integration, and network security.

Event Highlights
  • Day 1: Industry Track
The first day will focus on industry, with international vendors and key players from the Australian mobile communications sector delivering talks and participating in a panel discussion.
  • Day 2: Research Track
The second day is dedicated to academia, featuring world-leading researchers from Australia and abroad who will share their insights and participate in a second panel discussion.

Why Attend?
  • Gain insights into the latest developments in 6G and Beyond 5G technologies.
  • Explore the future of telecommunications networks with industry and academic experts.
  • Engage in discussions on AI integration, security, and privacy in next-generation networks.
