Event Description:
This is a practical exploration for Yoga Teachers, about functional anatomy and why a one-size-fits-all approach to alignment doesn’t work.
This 90-minute online session will explore anatomical variation, mobility and stability, and how yoga teachers can move beyond rigid alignment rules to teach more safely and effectively for the individual in front of them.

Please only 'register' if you plan on attending the live event via zoom on 22nd October.
What to bring:
Yoga mat, comfortable clothing, notebook and pen, and enough space to explore some simple movements. No additional equipment is required.
About the Presenter:
Laurin Vassella is a Yoga Australia Level 3 Senior Teacher and Trainer, Exercise Physiologist, and founder of Bend It Like Buddha Yoga. With over 12,000 hours of teaching and mentoring experience, she brings more than two decades of experience in movement, rehabilitation and yoga education to her teaching.
Laurin specialises in functional anatomy and movement, translating complex anatomical concepts into practical, accessible tools yoga teachers can confidently apply in real-world classes. She is also the creator of the 20-Hour Yoga Anatomy Foundations Program and BILBY’s 350-Hour Yoga Teacher Training Diploma.
Her approach brings together her background in exercise physiology and rehabilitation, extensive teaching experience and the principles of yoga, encouraging teachers to move beyond one-size-fits-all alignment and teach with greater curiosity, adaptability and respect for individual bodies.
