If you think of yoga as a form of exercise and a way to stretch your body, then these classes will expand your view. Yoga is an integrative life practice that incorporates the body (strength and stretching), intentional breathing and observation of the breath, courage, self-awareness, and experimentation. This group will explore mindstates and observe the experience shift on confidence, clarity, and intuition.
What will I experience?
The yoga class will begin with a short discussion of a theme or an idea to play with through class. Every class will include breathing, movement, reflection, and meditation (savanna).
You might expect after a time of practice:
- reduced anxiety
- increased insight and self-awareness
- comfort in your body
- clarity and confidence in action
What will I need?
- A yoga mat or floor surface comfortable for kneeling
- Occasionally you might want to have blocks (books), straps (scarfs), blankets, or bolsters (couch pillows work great!)
Please Note: Yoga is most comfortable and effective when your stomach is not full. Please refrain from eating a heavy meal prior to the practice.
