In this session, you'll learn the foundations of Large Language Models and get hands-on with multiple Generative AI tools.

Generative AI is more than just ChatGPT!

During this interactive session, you will learn the foundations of generative AI and participate in play-along activities where you get hands-on and experiment with different types of GenAI tools - beyond just ChatGPT.

WHAT YOU'LL DISCOVER 

You will learn how generative AI works and discover the different strengths and weaknesses of popular tools.

  • Foundations First: A basic introduction to what generative AI is, how Large Language Models (LLMs) work and the various levers that determine a tool's ability (e.g. context windows, tokens, temperature, training etc).
  • Navigating the Landscape: Learn about the different types of AI from foundational models to GPT wrappers and why they give different outputs.
  • Watchouts and Limitations: Recognise the boundaries and limitations of LLMs that ensure responsible use.
  • Practical Play: Participate in our guided play-along, comparing multiple tools and experiencing their strengths, weaknesses and personalities first-hand.
  • Q&A: This is more than just a passive webinar, it is an active tutorial - so please feel free to ask us questions along the way.


WHO SHOULD ATTEND

Our events are low-cost, tax-deductible, immersive experiences designed to empower professional women who are in non-technical roles, however, we don’t discriminate and everyone is welcome.(By technical roles, we mean those who are data scientists, computer scientists or software developers. Unlike many of the other AI training sessions, we do not expect you to know how to code!)

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

To make the most out of the event, you will need the following:

  • Best experienced on a desktop or laptop computer (you may choose to experience the webinar on a computer and use your mobile phone for some of the play-along activities)
  • Internet access
  • Web browser: Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge
  • No additional AI tool subscriptions are required, we will provide you with links to all the free versions
  • Please note that if you are using a company computer or mobile you may have firewall restrictions that block access to certain websites / AI tools. Please check this prior to the session. A personal computer will likely provide a better experience.
