Beyond Contact ✺ A contact improv full-day lab

Come dance, connect, and explore movement in a one-day immersive Contact Improvisation workshop surrounded by nature in the magical space of Solscape.

This workshop is open to all levels – whether you’re new to CI or already love it, you’re warmly welcome. We’ll explore physical connection, deep listening, and creative co-movement in a grounded and playful space.

A guided session inspired by Contact Improvisation, focused on non-verbal communication and relational presence. We’ll explore how to lead, follow, take, roll, pull, lift and share weight—tools to improvise a dance with anyone, anywhere.

We’ll dive deeper into CI techniques: floor work, rolling points of contact, weight-sharing, momentum, and fluid transitions.

𝗞𝗶𝗮 𝗢𝗿𝗮, I’m Gloria – a passionate dancer and movement facilitator, currently travelling Aotearoa and sharing practices that light me up. Dance has always been my genuine form of expression. I’ve danced CI for over six years in communities all over the world, and facilitated workshops at small festivals and intimate community gatherings. This is my first offering in Raglan and I’m excited to co-create this space with you!
