The NSW Department of Education is offering these free workshops with partner, Be You.
There are various contributors to educator wellbeing, including individual and contextual factors. Therefore, it is important to consider wellbeing holistically. In this series, we will be exploring the multiple layers of wellbeing within learning communities.
Over the course of this 3-part workshop series, we will explore your role as a leader when considering your own wellbeing, the wellbeing of the workplace and the wellbeing of your local community.
The sessions will support you to:
- understand the role of stress and regulation strategies
- develop collegial relationships for mental health and wellbeing
- promote and create a thriving workplace culture
- explore the role that leaders can play in a mentally healthy workplace
- consider community partnerships for positive mental health and wellbeing
- recognise governance systems and structures that aim to protect, respond and promote positive mental health.
Together, we will share our knowledge and begin building practical strategies that support a positive, inclusive and responsive community where all staff feel empowered to achieve their best possible mental health.
Up to 25 places are available in this 3-part online workshop series, including up to 2 educators per service.
Each session runs for 75 minutes and includes a 45 minute presentation and a 30 minute action-planning workshop.
You must attend all 3 sessions to complete the training.
