Vietnamese fashion is experiencing a remarkable evolution, driven by a new generation of designers who are reimagining cultural heritage through contemporary design, streetwear influences and innovating storytelling.
In celebration of 2026 Melbourne Fashion Week, FAQTORY: Beyond the Áo Dài brings together emerging Vietnamese designers and creatives from both Vietnam and Australia (Melbourne) to explore the forces shaping this dynamic fashion movement. Coined from the words Fashion, FAQ and Story, FAQTORY creates a space for conversation and curiosity.
THIS FREE event will open with a performance by Subject Δ(Delta), who will present a textural sonic experience on the Đàn Tranh, setting the scene for the main event: a panel discussion exploring cultural identity, sustainability, and innovation in the rise of Vietnamese fashion, while also reflecting on the lived experiences and perspectives of the Vietnamese diaspora.
The panel features Duc Studio - as mentioned on VOGUE Australia as one of the most exciting designers coming out from Vietnam, along with other emerging designers in Melbourne.
