Beyond the Bloom - lessons from Putricia in the afterlife

Beyond the Bloom - lessons from Putricia in the afterlife

The last 18 months has seen blooming of titan arums from many botanic gardens. Putricia and Smellanie the Titan Arums, at Sydney and Adelaide, have caught the love of visitors and the internet across the globe.

In this webinar, we will hear from Sophie Daniel and Ella Williams (Sydney) and Rhianna Pezzaniti (Adelaide) who were instrumental in their public engagement of the titan arums.

They will share how they engaged massive local and global audiences around the bloom – what worked, what didn’t, and the behind-the-scenes logistics of connecting thousands of visitors to this plant, both on site and digitally.

If you want to hear more from Sophie, Ella and Rhianna about the public engagement of their titan arums, come along to this online webinar hosted by BGEN (Botanic Gardens Engagement Network).
