Join acclaimed singer-songwriter Benji Fowler for an intimate evening of live music at Headland Theatre, Tathra, with special guest performances from Val Moogz and Blue Mallee.

Best known as the songwriter behind Benji & The Saltwater Sound System, Benji's music draws inspiration from Australia's coastline, landscapes and communities. Blending folk, roots, indie and soulful grooves with evocative storytelling, his songs have become favourites with audiences across the country.

As part of MUVE's Beyond the Curtain series, this is more than a concert. Before the music begins, Benji, Val and Blue Mallee will share the stories, experiences and moments that inspired their songs, inviting audiences into the creative process before taking to the stage.

Headlining the evening, Benji Fowler performs a rare stripped-back set, revealing his songs as they were first written—honest, intimate and beautifully personal. Joining him are Val Moogz, whose heartfelt indie-pop and funky-folk songs celebrate authenticity, connection and community, and Blue Mallee, whose soaring harmonies and cinematic indie-folk have established them as one of regional NSW's most exciting emerging acts.

Beyond the Curtain celebrates the enduring tradition of gathering to share stories through music. Hosted in some of regional New South Wales' most distinctive theatres, each event brings together exceptional artists for an evening of conversation, connection and unforgettable live performance.

At MUVE, we've always believed live music is something much bigger than artists standing on stages. It's a relationship between artists, venues and audiences. Together they form a triangle; the simplest self-supporting structure known to us. Remove one side and the whole thing collapses.

For Beyond the Curtain, we've brought together extraordinary artists and remarkable regional theatres. Now we're inviting the community to complete the triangle. Because an audience does far more than fill seats. An audience gives songs a place to land. It transforms performances into shared experiences.
