You have an idea you care about. Maybe it could become a product, a startup or something that genuinely improves people’s lives, but how do you take it beyond the lab?

Beyond the Lab: Biotechnology Commercialisation & Sales Panel brings together professionals working across biotechnology commercialisation, business development, intellectual property, technical sales and industry strategy.

They’ll share how they built their careers, what their work actually looks like and how scientific discoveries move from research into products, services and solutions people can use.

Get Excited Over... 🧪

Career pathways in commercialisation, business development and technical sales
How scientific knowledge supports commercial decisions and customer relationships
The skills and experience employers look for in industry-facing roles
Emerging opportunities across the biotechnology sector
Internship, graduate and early-career opportunities, where available
The realities of building a career at the intersection of science and business

What to Expect 🎤

Industry representatives will begin with short presentations covering their career journeys, organisations, current roles and lessons learned along the way.

You’ll then have the chance to ask your own questions during a live panel discussion before connecting directly with the speakers over refreshments.

No business plan, startup or perfectly polished idea required, so just bring your curiosity and the questions you have never known who to ask. 💡
