Beyond the Symptoms

Clinical Insights That Matter

Three specialties. Three clinical challenges. One evening of practical learning.

SWIFT Emergency & Urgent Care invites general practitioners and healthcare professionals to an engaging evening of clinical education, specialist insights and professional networking.

Beyond the Symptoms brings together three experienced medical specialists to explore important clinical presentations, evidence-based management strategies and practical considerations for everyday general practice.

From identifying red flags in back pain and sciatica to optimising cardiometabolic health and recognising potentially life-threatening mushroom poisoning, this education evening is designed to strengthen clinical decision-making and support better patient outcomes.

Attendees will have the opportunity to engage directly with specialist presenters, discuss clinical challenges and explore practical approaches to assessment, treatment and referral.

Cardiometabolic Health: Treat to Target

Dr Pravin Potdar | Specialist Physician

FRACP, Diploma in Men's Health

Effective cardiometabolic risk management plays a critical role in preventing long-term complications and improving patient outcomes.

Mushroom Poisoning: Recognition, Clinical Course & Management

Dr Balveena Dhaliwal | Emergency Physician & Toxicologist

FACEM

Mushroom poisoning can present significant diagnostic and management challenges, with some exposures potentially resulting in severe toxicity.
