    Event description

    Miranda Due will discuss her story of embracing one’s own identity and reconnecting with her heritage and tribes. Learn a brief history of representation in media and video games and what the future of Indigenous storytelling looks like in Miranda's eyes.

    This online workshop is open to everyone, worldwide, and is covered by the Pixelles safer space policy.

    Workshop host: Miranda Due

    Miranda Due (Pawnee/Cherokee) is an interactive storyteller and game producer. She is originally from Oklahoma and is a proud member of the Pawnee Nation. Miranda attended the University of Southern California School of Cinematic Arts Interactive Media and Games program. Miranda has vast experience working in the game industry, including titles such as Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. Miranda is currently a Story Producer and the Artist and Influencer Relations Manager at Illuminative, where she is focused on elevating indigenous stories and creators.

    Outside of work and projects, Miranda is committed to promoting diversity in the entertainment industry, and elevating the voices of indigenous creators. She has served as the board of directors for the International Game Developers Association Los Angeles Chapter, and has served on the board of the Woman of Cinematic Arts org. Miranda has been an invited speaker and panelist across the country, and has advised multiple organizations on topics of DEI.
