About the Programs
Atlantic Fellows for Social Equity
Penelist TBC
The Atlantic Fellows for Social Equity (AFSE) program, based at the University of Melbourne, brings together changemakers from Australia, Aotearoa New Zealand, and Pacific Island nations to address social disadvantage and build self-determined futures. It draws upon and builds on enduring Indigenous knowledge systems, creativity, and innovation to create a dynamic community of changemakers.
The program welcomes participants from all backgrounds (not only social entrepreneurs), supporting them to advocate for and drive systemic solutions to the complex challenges facing Indigenous communities across the Pacific region.
AFSE stands as one of seven fellowship programs worldwide, uniquely distinguished by its Indigenous focus. Though each of the seven global programs tackles different social challenges, they share a unified purpose: creating societies that are more equitable, healthier and more inclusive for all people.
Kenneth Myer Innovation Fellowships
Jane Thomas, Program Manager
Kirsty Allen, Program Manager
A joint program of The Myer Foundation and the Sidney Myer Fund, the Kenneth Myer Innovation Fellowships support breakthrough solutions to Australia’s most pressing social and environmental challenges. A Kenneth Myer Innovation Fellowship offers a unique opportunity for recipients to take 12 months to focus on their initiative, scaffolded by $180,000 and a program of supports.
Snow Entrepreneur Fellowships
Alex Lagelée Kean, Impact & Engagement Manager
The Snow Entrepreneur – fellowships for social change were launched in 2021, and so far have supported 17 social change makers over the course of a three-year program with funding, peer cohort connections as well as significant wrap-around capacity-building support.
Each cohort consists of eight to twelve entrepreneurial leaders who are solving social problems aligned with the Snow Foundation focus areas through innovative, early-stage initiatives (operating for less than three years).
The program provides generous, flexible support in order to fast track growth and build solid foundations for sustainability to enable significant impact in the lives of many.
Westpac Social Change Fellowship
Lauren Hill, Program Lead, Westpac Social Change Fellowship
The Westpac Social Change Fellowship is a transformative opportunity for social change leaders who are driven to create a better Australia. Designed to invest in the individual, not the organisation, the Fellowship empowers recipients to grow personally and professionally—giving them the skills, knowledge and networks to strengthen their leadership capability and accelerate their impact. With up to $50,000, fellows design a bespoke development plan including local and global study tours, conferences, short courses, coaching and more. Fellows also embark on an enlightening journey of self-discovery alongside a cohort that offers valuable peer learning opportunities and ongoing support.
