Bibliowitches: a magickal, embodied literary salon
Event description
Let’s gather each month around literature that nurtures our somatic enlivenment! More than a book group, this gathering is designed for those who crave literary nourishment, embodiment practice, and magickal community.
On the fourth Monday of each month, we will convene to savor and discuss our shared reading. During our time together, we will engage in brief somatic practices to ground us in our conversations.
The first book we will read together is What It Takes To Heal, written by somatics educator and movement leader Prentis Hemphill. We’ll focus on the first half of the book in November, and the second half in December. (Moving into the new calendar year, ongoing literature selections will be voted on by members.)
PLEASE NOTE: Because video meetings are a challenging medium by which to connect wholly and authentically, we ask that participants make the effort to be as present as possible in the digital space. Ideally, this means our cameras are on, and that we are focused on one another rather than dividing our attention among simultaneous activities.
These gatherings are a benefit of membership in The Somatic Coven. Please visit us on Patreon or Ko-fi for details on membership. Non-members can register via gratuity here on Humanitix.
