Join Big Brothers Big Sisters of Wellington and Guest Speaker Glen Denham on Friday 22 August at the Petone Club, Udy Street, Petone for a delicious buffet breakfast, exciting live auction, raffles and more!

Glen Denham is the Principal of Wellington College, where he channels his lifelong passion for teaching and school leadership. Raised in a single-parent home, Glen's experiences growing up shaped his resilience and drive to succeed. Throughout his distinguished career, he has accumulated a wealth of diverse experiences, each adding a unique dimension to his approach to education.

Before transitioning into teaching, Glen was a national basketball player, earning a spot as a Tall Black for 16 years during the 1980s and 1990s. As team captain for 13 of those years, he was regarded as one of New Zealand’s top players and a key figure in the country's basketball legacy. His journey from professional athlete to educator has shaped his dynamic leadership style, blending discipline, resilience, and teamwork with a deep commitment to nurturing youth.
