On Saturday, October 4th you're invited to a magical evening in support of the San Geronimo Valley Community Center’s Youth Programs. Big Easy Beats, Bets and Bites will be an unforgettable night of celebration and support.

This year, we are proud to present the Heart of the Valley Awards to the dedicated teachers of the Lagunitas Community School: Anita Collison, Alex Cusick, Andrew Elson, Tony Guerrero, John Moyer, Lauren Norgeot, Alyssa Poppert, Kathryn Sanford and Shannan Walt. This award honors their extraordinary contributions to our children and their essential role in the Lagunitas Community School.

Event Details

This year’s benefit for the Community Center’s Youth Programs brings the spirit and flavor of New Orleans to life with a festive evening throughout the Community Center's Maurice Del Mue Galleries, Courtyard, and Events Space.

Beginning at 5 PM, guests will enjoy fresh Hog Island oysters, Southern-inspired small bites from The Hummingbird Café, specialty cocktails compliments of King Floyd's Bitters, local craft beer, and fine wine. Charlie Hickox, local acclaimed pianist and hit song writer, will get the good times rolling with his Big Easy favorites. The evening also features a lively silent auction, games of chance, stunning artwork by Connie Smith Siegel and Michelle Elmore, and a heartfelt tribute to this year’s Heart of the Valley Honorees. The celebration culminates with an unforgettable performance and high-energy dancing led by New Orleans' own Glen David Andrews and his band.

This fall benefit is our most important fundraising event of the year and kicks off our Annual Campaign where we raise the majority of our yearly budget. Early Bird Tickets are on sale now for $150! Purchase today for special savings. After September 15th, tickets are $175.

✵If you would like to sponsor a volunteer, staff member, or Lagunitas School Teacher you can buy tickets for $150 each.

✵Lastly, this year’s benefit will feature casual, unassigned seating. However, you also have the option to reserve a table for 10—with a special champagne toast—for $2,000.
