    Event description

Come along and learn all about sustainable fishing and ocean literacy by playing the brand new Big Fish tabletop card game!

Big Fish is a game designed for anyone and everyone over the age of 12 that enjoys the ocean. It's a fun game where you manage the fish in your fishing spot and decide which fish you will catch and be crowned the #1 fisher!

Big Fish Card Game is currently getting ready to launch a crowdfunding campaign and is looking for support around the communication of sustainable fishing.

Developed at IMAS by project lead Dr Asta Audzijonyte, science communicator Matt Testoni and graphic artist Dr Amy Coghlan the game dives into how the marine ecosystem works and how big fish affect sustainable fishing. By using different strategies you can visualise the effect of different approaches to recreational fishing and learn how different events and habitats can affect a fishing spot.

Available to pre-order for a month from the 15th of September 2024 - 100% of proceeds go back into sustainable fishing and ocean literacy communication.

Big Fish will be set up and some of the team behind it will be on hand to showcase the game.

    Come and play!
