FAQs

• Do babies and toddlers need a ticket?

  Children 2 years and under may enter without a ticket if they are held and seated on an accompanying adult’s lap.

  Please note that prams will not be allowed in the theatre—you will need to leave them in the foyer.

• Is seating allocated?

  Yes, all seating is allocated and you can select your preferred seats when purchasing tickets through Humanitix. We recommend booking early to secure the best seats, particularly if you wish to sit together with family and friends.

• Do I need to print my tickets?

  No, simply have your tickets ready to display on your phone when entering the theatre. You are also welcome to bring printed tickets.

• I can no longer attend. Can I get a refund?

  Please choose your tickets carefully, as refunds and exchanges are not available for change of mind or changes in personal circumstances, including inability to attend. Refunds are only provided where required under Australian Consumer Law, including where a performance is cancelled or significantly changed.

• Is there accessible seating?

  Yes, the first four rows (AA–DD) are on a flat floor and do not require stairs to access. From Row A onwards, seating is tiered and requires patrons to walk up stairs.

  Please select 'Accessible Seat' ticket when booking to secure a seat in rows AA-DD. The rest of your group will be able to sit with you so you can all watch the show together!

  If you have specific accessibility requirements, please contact Impetus Dance Theatre before booking so we can assist you with suitable seating arrangements.

• What time should I arrive?

  We recommend arriving approximately 20–30 minutes before the performance begins to allow time for parking, ticket scanning and finding your seats.

  There will be refreshments available in the foyer as well as beautiful gifts for you to purchase for your dancer.

  Make sure you are on time so you don't miss a minute of the show! Latecomers may be asked to wait until a suitable break in the performance before entering the theatre to avoid disrupting our dancers and other audience members.

• Is parking nearby?

  Yes, there is plenty of parking available at the Katsumata Centre.

• Can I take photos or videos?

  As tempting as it is to capture your dancer on stage, to protect the privacy and safety of our young performers, photography and video recording by audience members are not permitted during the performance unless otherwise advised.
