Compose Queer BIG SING 2026

Help Divisi Create a Brighter Future for Australian Music

This Cup Day, Divisi brings you the second annual Big Sing: a joyful, one-night celebration of queer voices, community, and music-making.

The line-up and set times

Our biggest event of the year brings together some of Melbourne’s most exciting artists:

• House and bar open - 4:00 pm

• Welcome from Piera - 4:30 pm

• Divisi Sextet + Sarah Elise Thompson - 4:45 pm

• Maeve Grieve - 5:30 pm

• Dinner - 5:50 pm

• Big Sing Choir - 6:20 pm

• Please People - 7:30 pm

Alongside them, the Divisi sextet performs with our newest member, Johnny De Simone, and the Big Sing Choir, more than 50 voices strong, presents a set of Australian music and queer composers.

Eat, drink, and win

Neither your ears nor your belly will go hungry. Chef Tessa Campbell is running our dinner and bake sale, with a vegan and gluten free feast, cakes, brownies, and the return of the famous matcha cookies. There’s a cocktail menu new this year, with wine, beer, and non-alcoholic options too.

Stay for the raffle, with prizes including a Victorian Opera season pass, $500 of personal training from The Pack, a Northside Records voucher, singing lessons with soprano Marjorie Butcher, Fomo Cinema movie passes, and a meal from Super Norma.

Why come?

Big Sing is a fundraiser to support Divisi’s future projects, commissions, and recordings. Every ticket helps us keep championing queer voices in classical music and beyond.

On Cup Day 2024, punters spent $221.6 mil on torturing horses. Say nup to the cup, and yup to some Queer BS x
