Bike Basics DIY 101
Description
Flat tyre? Chain playing up? Brakes doing something they probably shouldn’t be?
Come and learn what to do about it at Bike Basics 101!
We’re taking over b.social for a free evening of bike know-how, good chats and practical skills to help you feel more confident tackling the basics yourself.
Around the room, we’ll have three demo spots covering:
• Punctures
• Chains
• Brakes
Ted from Racers Edge, Joel and Kerry from Bike Glendhu and Simon from Wastebusters will be joining us to share their know-how and answer your questions. We’ll also unpack the essentials worth carrying on every ride, so you’re not left wondering what on earth to do when something goes wrong.
Grab a drink, move between the demos, have a chat and learn at your own pace. No pressure, no bike expertise required.
Maybe you’re just getting into biking. Maybe you ride every weekend but wouldn’t dream of fixing a puncture yourself. Either way, you’re welcome.
The idea is simple: learn a few useful repair skills, understand your bike a little better and leave feeling more confident to have a go yourself. Because repair is a pretty powerful skill to have.
This isn’t a bring-your-bike repair workshop, so you can leave your bike at home for this one!
