Bike Maintenance Part 1 - Safety checks, punctures, tubes and tyres (i)
Event description
This is one of two FREE three-hour sessions that will teach you practical skills to carry out common maintenance tasks. You are welcome to attend just one or both sessions.
Part 1 - Learn the essential skills every rider should know:
bike checks – simple, essential routines to make sure your bike is safe and sound, identifying problems that you can fix and those needing professional attention
safety – equipment and route planning
getting to know bike parts and terminology
keeping tyres properly inflated for a smoother, safer ride
repair punctures, replace tubes and tyres.
This class is for participants aged 12 and over. Under 18's must be accompanied by a responsible adult and be happy to maintain attention for three hours.
What to bring?
Your bike (street-legal e-bikes are welcome). Your pump and portable toolkit if available. Refreshments provided.
Registration is essential.
