Thanks for enrolling in part 1 of our two-part free bicycle maintenance classes, hosted by the City of Newcastle and run by Newcastle Bicycle Workshop.

BRING

Please bring your bicycle and, if you have one, a pump and your portable bicycle tool and/or puncture kit. Wear clothes or bring an apron that you don't mind getting dirty. Disposable gloves will be available.

BRINGING KIDS?

Please note that this class is targeted for adults and children over 12 who are able to concentrate for a three hour session. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

REFRESHMENTS

Tea, coffee and cold drinks and light snacks will be available, including gluten-free, non-dairy and vegan options.

ARRIVING BY TRAIN & BICYCLE

If you are arriving by train, Carrington Community Hall is about a 10-15 minute ride from Newcastle Interchange.

From the Station, cross to the eastern side of Stewart Avenue at Honeysuckle Drive and access the harbour foreshore shared path via the Tree of Knowledge park. Head north past the Marina and cross Throsby Creek into Carrington, via the shared path on the southern side of Cowper Street Bridge. Follow this up to Carrington Village and head north along Young St to Carrington Community Hall on the corner of Young and Hargreaves Street.

ARRIVING BY CAR

There is plenty of free on-street parking in the streets around Carrington Community Hall.

This is a popular free workshop, so if you are unable to attend, please cancel or change your booking date, as soon as possible, so that we can re-allocate your place to someone on the waiting list.
