Billabong Bioblitz: Spider and Insect Walk - 8:30pm to 9:15pm

Help us collect valuable data for the Great Southern BioBlitz 2026! Led by a local expert, explore the remarkable behaviours, adaptations and ecological roles of our local invertebrates. Learn how to identify different species and gain a new appreciation for the wildlife that thrives after dark.

For the best experience, please:

-Dress for the outdoors with sturdy, enclosed shoes suitable for uneven ground, and be prepared for changing weather conditions.

-Don't forget to bring a torch for after-dark guided walks.

We encourage you to download the free iNaturalist app prior to the event to record your sightings and contribute data to this global citizen science challenge, but this is not essential. For more information on using the app see How to Make an Observation : iNaturalist Help
