Description
"I'm a big fan of him, great voice, he's a brilliant songwriter and performer" - Jamie Cullum
Experience Billy Lockett, the self-taught pianist, guitarist and singer-songwriter from Northampton, England, who has spent over a decade building one of British music's most devoted fanbases, entirely on his own terms. Early support from BBC Radio 1 and tours alongside Lana Del Rey, Birdy and Lewis Capaldi laid the groundwork. More recently he has been invited on the road by Dean Lewis, James Arthur and Jamie Cullum, and opened for Zucchero at London's Royal Albert Hall.
Named Best Live Performer at the 2026 AIM Independent Music Awards, Billy brings hopeful, guitar and piano-driven songs, heartbreaking ballads and plenty of humour to an intimate evening that feels like a conversation with an old friend.
The Album - Things Are Looking Up
Released in 2026, Things Are Looking Up is Billy's second album and his first entirely self-written, self-recorded, self-produced and self-mixed, crafted in his own basement studio. The inspiration came from a sketch left behind by his late father, featuring cartoon figures gazing upwards alongside the hopeful tagline "Things Are Looking Up", which now adorns the album's artwork. It is the most successful release of his career, charting in its first week at:

#8 - Top 200 Physical Artist Album Chart
#50 - Top 200 Album Chart
