Celebrate Biodiversity Month with Napoleon Reef Landcare and Local Land Services and discover local biodiversity through hands-on citizen science activities.
Event details:
A day of discovery, fun and learning to find 20 species in 20 steps in 20 minutes.
Join Napoleon Reef Landcare, supported by Central Tablelands Local Land Services, to discover the local biodiversity at Napoleon Reef. Participate in citizen science activities exploring a variety of local ecosystems such as heathlands, woodlands and wetlands.
Learn how to find 20 species in 20 steps in 20 minutes and investigate the natural restoration of an old quarry site. All activities will require walking and include uneven surfaces, so wear strong enclosed shoes. Bring along a hat, sunscreen, protective clothing, water bottle and a magnifying glass (optional).
