This event has passed Get tickets

Event description

Sunday 7th May, 2023

Talk starts at 11.45am

Guest speaker Dr Peter Mitchell OAM former Associate Professor and Head of Department of Physical Geography at Macquarie University will talk about FOKE's exciting proposal to identify and interpret a GeoRegion across the northern suburbs including Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park. This fascinating geological project aims to ‘sign post’ the natural and cultural heritage of Ku-ring-gai. Dr Mitchell will explain why this Ku-ring-gai GeoRegion project presents ‘no threats’ but instead is, in fact, a ‘good idea’.

Talk finishes at 1pm

At the conclusion of the talk you are invited to join Friends of Ku-ring-gai Environment (FOKE) for a lunch at the Roseville Club Bistro from 1-2.30pm (at own expense).
